Andrew J. Montgomery-Gawron
International commercial leadership where growth demands organisational change.
Andrew works with CEOs, boards and commercial leadership teams when an important business decision depends on changing how the organisation sells, coordinates and develops its people.
Experience built across international markets
His career includes more than two decades of international commercial leadership, with experience at Maersk and across businesses operating in complex B2B environments. He has led sales integration activity following acquisitions, developed global key-account approaches and supported sales excellence and leadership programmes across international markets.
The work has demanded a balance between group-level strategy and the judgement held by local teams, customers and markets. Military service provides a further foundation of discipline, responsibility and operational perspective.
The work today
Through Black Label Executives, Andrew focuses on Maritime, Defence and Offshore Energy. Engagements are shaped around a defined client decision, with a clear distinction between advisory support and an executive mandate that carries delivery responsibility.
Specialist associates may be engaged for a defined requirement where their expertise is appropriate. Client sponsorship, scope and accountability remain explicit.
A clear commercial philosophy
A sound strategy is not enough if customers will not buy, leaders cannot decide or the organisation cannot deliver. The important work is to test the assumptions, decide where to act and develop the capability to follow through.
UK and Canada
Based in Ipswich, with established connections in Toronto, Andrew has extensive experience working across international markets and commercial cultures.
